Any dvd player u buy in the U.S.A is NTSC format.It is the format that the U.S. uses, Pal is the format thet Europe uses.

NTSC is a TV format which is used by many countries of the world america,japan etc. it is a format which has a higher refresh rate and is better than other PAL formats. every writer has many formats such as NTSC writeable. this is truly possible!!!

ntsc is the current US tv broadcast standard. I guess any recorder/player that will record and replay aired shows can use it.
