I wondered if the "non-party" affiliation was occurring in other states. Here in Florida both parties aren't labeling their ads both in print and in TV ads.
I'm guessing that the simple truth is the general public is disgusted with both parties. Both are so busy slinging mud left and right that, well they are dirt ridden. So many seem to focus on the fact the Presidents approval rating is so low but forget that that the Congress rating is even lower, yes it might be Republican controlled but not by much so the Democrats aren't exactly up in the rating polls either.

One reason we need a third party. After all, The United States suupposed to be a free country. If we want other parties on balots, we should not have to petition to get them on. And remember, at one time, Republicans and Democrats were thirds. We once had Whigs and Federalists. Third and even 4th parties should be welcome, in order to have a true democracy. Otherwise, we don't really have a free choice in our elections.

no, i do no longer think of that the two celebration device has exceeded this is usefulness in spite of the fact that i do desire the different smaller events have been given a much bigger vote interior the election. i do no longer have confidence that the ideological adjustments between the two events have espoused into tyranny because of the fact there'll continually some people who marketing campaign for smaller, constrained government, and who want to help the yankee human beings. in spite of the fact that being asked to % to vote between the lesser of two evils continues to be evil it potential that there is extra good interior the fewer evil guy or woman than interior the extra evil guy or woman. some one whom the persons can tell what to do. i'm extraordinarily delicate with the two celebration device yet i do desire that the democrats did no longer have lots bias in the direction of them like they have been gathering interior the previous 20-30 years. i think of this is powerful in addressing political concerns yet i do desire shall we get extra powerful, extra powerful applicants who think of for themselves! i think of a 0.33 celebration guy or woman ought to do it yet a 0.33 celebration candidate hasn't run in a protracted time, if in any respect.

Republican strategists have spoken on all of the political shows that they are trying to propagate this upcoming election based on local issues and needs, not as a national referendum, so therefor they are trying to show all of their candidates as local heroes who speak their own minds.

After all the scandal that has happened to the repuglican party in the last few year it would seem to me that most candidates would want to keep it a secret plus they probably do not want it known that they are the party of George Bush.

I was always of the opinion that candidates should have two versions of their yard signs: one version with the party label and one without. The yard signs with the party label should be placed in neighborhoods which are heavily loyal to that party. The yard signs without the party label should be placed in neighborhoods heavily against that party or which are equally mixed.

Bob Menedez, the Democrat incumbent for Senate from NJ does not indicate his party on his print ads.
All along the highways are Menendez for Senate signs, but no indication he is a Democrat. (Which is weird because Dems have had a lock on NJ Senate for decades.)
