I suspect, and I could be wrong here, that your keyboard plug ... or the connection from it has a short-circuit on it.

So you are getting suprious electrical signals from that.

I would start off by unplugging the k/b and squirting some compressed air (from a bottle) into the keyboard plug socket. That MIGHT work.

But that is the area I would start looking at.

It is also possible that you have a spyware program, that detects keystrokes ... that has gone haywire.

Antivirus alone might not pick it up.

Have you tried Ad-Aware? Try that.

All the best.

By any chance does the keyboard type when you speak and by any chance do you have a microphone? If so the what has happened is the speech recognition that is found with Microsoft office is on and is typing the sounds it hears.

do the following:

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options.
3. Click Regional and Language Options.
4. On the Languages tab, click Details.
5. Under Installed services, click Speech Recognition, click Remove, and then click OK.
6. Click OK to apply all the changes. You may have to restart your computer.

First go to the control panel and check out the keyboard options. I never heard of a keyboard typing by itself before. If the computer is still under warranty you should be able to get support from the manufacture. Oh My.. you need some good luck.. :)

Call the computer exorcist? Sounds as though it is possessed. My first suggestion was new keyboard, second was re-install software, but sounds like you have addressed both of those. Have you made inquiry of the software or keyboard companies?
