It will not do anything for the infection, you can use it, but it won't help seeing as the infection lies in the gum. I would go to my dentist as soon as possible to diagnose, and give you treatment options. An abscess that is not taken care of properly will only get worse. Good luck!

My dentist told me to use this solution and if it didn't work to go back well I have never had to go back for an abscess. Here is the solution

In a coffee cup fill 3/4 of the way with water(the temperature you would use to make lipton tea) Add 2 teaspoons salt. and four teaspoons white vinegar.

Stir well

Swish around the abscessed tooth. Continue till the solution is gone. Repeat every two to three hours until the abcess ruptures.

Remember do not swallow any of the solution.
Also when the abcess breaks do not swallow that either.

Hydrogen peroxide is an antiseptic...meaning it can kill off some bacteria. However it cannot penetrate the skin or for that matter can't penetrate the tooth which is where the infection is coming from. Your question is, though, can you use it?....Yes...but it won't be very effective in ending the problem

I brush with hydrogen peroxide almost everyday. Keeps my teeth white and pain free

Make sure it is the standard percentage, bought at drug store, not commercial grade and don't drink it!

I have before, but you should use a half peroxide, half water solution. Avoid swallowing it. It will help a little but you need to seek the advice of a dentist.
