They are well known for it, and are especially fond of the 6th sea. In more recent times pirate MP3s have taken to traveling the skies spreading terror and stealing riches from seagulls.
However, they do not fly the old Jolly Roger, the skull & cross bones. This is due to the legal battle that ensued in 1972, Parrots v Media priates over the compyright. It would seem that, due to the decline of piratism in recent years, the Pirate Marketing Association where attempting to revamp the pirate image and this involved something of a rebranding.
The Jolly Roger flags where quite literally thrown out, and subsequently picked up by a group of passing pirate Betamax's, currently plundering in the Stockton on Tees market area. The Betamax's, due to set sail early the next day to the carribean, decided this would make an ideal banner and would perhaps make people take them more seriously. Mid way through the transatlantic voyage, the Pirate Betamaxs where besieged and boarded by a group of renegade parrots. They claimed that, due to an old charter they where able to lay claim to anything that was harboured under the ancient symbol of plundering parrots.
A fierce and bloody battle ensued, many a parrot being set to permanent rewind and drawing the attention of international police. Private investigators happy to work for pieces of eight, uncovered the ancient charter in the attic of one Mrs Badcrumble. In the following court proceedings it came to light that infact the Parrots where the legal gaurdians of the infamous skull &crossbones.
The Pirate Media had to relinquish their hard scavanged flag and chose instead to fly under the banner of a man in a hoodie.

You forgot the lowly VHS tapes... I'm going to send them some lemons and oranges because I don't want them to prevent them from getting scurvy... I'm sorry, I can't prevent them from being dogs but, yes, they do travel the 7 seas... They also travel the planets because the Space Clown whom I date said he saw the large boat with Skull and Crossbones from his kitchen...
