i was wondering how many days is the shortest time that actually pretty normal and how long is the longest??

varies by woman. the longest i've ever bled was 2 wks, the shortest was less than one day.

Mine is normally 5 days. Once I had one that only lasted 1 day. I don't know what was up with that one!
The longest I had was 7 days, unless you count when I was on any kind of hormonal birth control, and those ones lasted 3 months.
No kidding.
That really sucked.

The longest on average is about seven days.
Mine are always long. No less than six days, but usually over seven days.

I've had friends who've had periods for only a day (lucky!) and some over a week (they went on the pill to shorten their cycle). When I was on the pill, it was 3-5 days and now it's more like5-7 days.

Depends on the person really. The average is about 5. I have had friends where it lasted a lot longer so they saw a doctor about it. It also depends on a lot of things -- stress, sleep habits, eating habits etc... If you are worried then go see your doctor and they should know what to do.

when i was on birth control my periods would only last 2-3 days. now that i'm not on birth control anymore my periods last 5-6 days.
