I am 16 and i have been sexually abused when i was six by my brother. I still am currently living with my family and my brother. I am sick and disgusted with my parents for pretending like it never happened. I cannot wait to move out and become an attorney to protect those in need of recovery. Is there anyone else out there who share's my lifestyle?

You need to report the abuse to your doctor, school counsellor, or even the police.
Next, you need to get therapy from a psychologist who specializes in incest cases, hopefully someone who does EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.

Sadly alot of people live the same as you, for me it was my uncle he went to prison for a long time for it but most of my family feels so sorry for him, his life is so bad, because he has that on his record he can't get any where in life, BO Ho Bo Ho feel sorry for him and for it it is just an excuse to get drunk and use drugs all the time cause his life is so bad. WHATEVER!!! It happened when I was pretty young but now i am 32 years old with a little girl of my own and you can be certain that no male family member comes to my house if I don't trust them, which I don't not one. None of them are EVER left alone with my beautiful little girl and I swear no one will ever touch her like that and ever make her go through what I have. I am known as the ***** in the family because I don't forgive and forget. Never will my baby go through any of that, and I feel sorry for the SOB that might think about trying. It is a discusting and hard thing to grow up with. That is awsome that you want to be a attorney to protect the ones that need you. I think once you start helping people it will help you and maybe begin to heal you. My daughter is mine.

Yes I have, (I am a 46yr old man) my uncles when I was 7 or 8 yrs old, I did not understand this at the time but I don't care anymore I was the victim not the perpetrator. You have to confront it now before it eats into you so bad that it will send you mad, was your brother young too? Maybe he was just curious & didn't understand then himself.

Rock, My prayers are them you. I am 49 years old and was sexually abused as a child. Yes, the scars are deep, but I am a survivor not a victim. Years of therapy. I confronted my abuser and was called a liar and many other names, but today I KNOW IT WAS NOT MY FAULT.

I was molested but not by a family member. I prayed about all the emotions and thoughts and hate. and all that.and have been able to have not let it effect me any longer.took a long time. but you must try to forgive. and just go on with your life. my dear. please let it go. pray. whatever. dont let him control your life. don t give him that power, good luck. may gods spirit be with you.

Has your brother tried anything since? Does he look at you like he wants to jump your bones? Does he hide under the bed or have hidden cameras to see you nude?
