This is a common problem. You will need a walker for awhile. Remember Practice, Practice, Practice!!!!!!! A quicker fix though would be have the dog bite the heel off your opposite foot.

Use a piece of hard wood as an insert in yer shoe, to keep the shoe from bending!
OR:
Send me yer name and address, and i'll ship one of my old wooden legs, then you can get the dog to chew off the other toes, and you'll have something to replace the whole foot with!

Are you in a boat? That would explain you're falling over, as would being drunk I suppose. You did ask this question under the boating category so I would suggest you keep the boat in calmer waters.
