I am currently in the early portion of the second trimester of my pregnancy, and lately I feel crazy because even though I bathe every day I always feel dirty like I need to shower again even mere hours later. Is this just part of the hormones? Have any other moms experienced this during pregnancy?

I have never been diagnosed to be obsessive compulsive in my past, I only experienced "nesting" symptoms a few weeks before having my son (he is 5 now) and reorganized the house and disinfected it, did I mention I was raised by a Microbiologist? I do know I have a problem with germs because of my mother (the microbiologist), but I was a little more laid back about things before this pregnancy. I am still waiting for an answer from my O.B. GYN, he is supposed to call me.

yeah, it's part of it. Moms get all sorts of crazy cravings when they're pregnant. Some Moms crave eating clay, or laundry detergent - it's weird, but it happens.

I didn't get that one either, with any of my three pregnancies. You're probably just a bit anxious about having everything just right for the baby-- no germs, etc... but I'd say try to relax and enjoy the pregnancy while you can. The phase in which you even *can* be such a special 'two people' doesn't last forever.
Blessings to you.

No Bella, it is more likely to be linked to your personality... do you tend to be obsessive-compulsive... maybe you do on certain degree and now hormones are enhancing it.

If it is really bothering you, seek professional help. Every pregnant mother deserves to enjoy her pegnancy. Every baby to be born deserves a happy mommy
