Your baby is turning 1, she doesn't know anything about what's going on. You can have a nice party at home and she will be just as happy. Show her that cake, ice cream and balloons then watch the smile on her face. She's 1, she won't know the difference. Its the parents that make such a big deal about first birthdays. Enjoy the simple times now, they don't last long.

At age 1, your child will easily get overstimulated by new sounds and sights. Keep the party toned down; a small party with known family at home would be best - you're close to places where she can go if she gets overexcited, and you'll be tired afterwards, trust me. Besides, like others have pointed out, it's not like she'll remember!
If you really want to get some great memories, spend the money on a costume or two instead and take your own Hallowe'en pictures of a sleeping/playing toddler. That's what October birthdays are for!

Chuck E Cheese is where you plan a birthday party for your child when they are old enough to remember it.
1st B'Day parties are more for the parents, Mom's especially!
If you really want to do something that your daughter will like;
stay at home. She'll be more interested in the packaging than
what's inside and if you're home she'll have more room in familiar surroundings.
Save your money for future parties!!!!

Since your daughter will never remember it, go simple. Do it at home or park. Believe me, time will come when you will be planning larger parties that will cost more. Save up while you can. Have a nice intimate party for the family. Take lots of pictures and have a good time.

At 1 she is gonna be terrified of people she is not around alot.And believe it or not alot of 1 years old will fall asleep before the party is over with.I would have her birthday party at home because it is a more familar surrounding and if she falls asleep she can sleep in the confort of her own bed.
