Peanut oil is the best, but very expensive. So I recommend Olive oil. It really depnds on what you are cooking. If you are going to deep fry, vegetible oil is the cheapest way and gets the job done, but all and all I wuse olive oil most.

It depends on what you are cooking and how high of a cooking temp. you are using. If you are frying foods then vegetable oil and peanut oil are great. Not only is olive oil good for you, but it adds a very fruity taste to your foods, but it is not intended for frying, unless you have a large amount of it (and a very fat wallet). Olive oil has a very high smoking point and can burn easily, so cut it with a pat of butter when cooking. Olive oil is better for sauting, grilling, baking, and broiling. But you have to be careful with olive oil. Its strong flavor can sometimes throw off the flavor of your foods.
Happy Cooking!!!

like everyone says, it depends on the food and the way you are cooking it.
but I would vote for Olive Oil. The best for you. So is rice bran oil.
Olive Oil is great for your skin, and try dipping some bread into an Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar mix. Just a little of both, and the taste is divine.

Olive oil , extra virgin, in general if you want a flavored oil.
For special stir-fries you may want to use peanut occasionally.
Never use vegetable oil, that could be anything -- it could be cottonseed or whatever junk left over.
Use canola oil when you want a basically flavorless oil.

It depends on what flavor you want in your food. Olive oil and peanut oil will give your food their olive or peanut flavor, while vegetable oil doesn't really add flavor.

It realy depends on what you are cooking. Olive oil is the best for most things its better for you and tastes better if you are cooking meat or things that you are not adding stuff to. Frys and breaded mushrooms thing like that I would use vegtable

It depends entirely on what you are cooking. If you are deep frying, use the peanut, otherwise try canola or olive oils,

I own a restaurant, and we use Canola Oil for our deep fryers, and also use Extra Virgin Olive oil to fry up onions, mushrooms and peppers. So its all a matter of preference and taste
