No, there aren't that many orange trees around that I notice. Yes I live in California, & I really only see them on the corner where the "orange sellers" are : )
I miss seeing the strawberries though, we had alot of strawberry fields here in the past too. But now like the orange fields they are being bought out and leveled out to be turned into houses. : (

One of my cousin's used to live right by an orchard we used to have allot of fun having orange fights Hee hee..We also had a tree in our yard the oranges were huge now I pay $6.00 for a bag of lil puny ones

i like oranges, but they taste so much better from a backyard tree than for 69 cents in the damned store. And seriously, why do i have to pay so much for such small oranges in the store??? WE GROW THEM RIGHT HERE IN OC & IE!!!!
