It depends on what you are chatting about. You need to be honest with your man and tell him what you are chatting about. He may feel threatened because he is unfamiliar with what is going on. Make him a part of your life. Be real and honest with him. Show him that you love him and that he is the most important man in the world to you.

Depends what you are chatting about. Flirting online is still flirting because there's still a real live person on the other end of the conversation. Just talking is certainly not cheating.

Not cheating at all if u r just chatting and not letting yr personal life get effected by it ..... so just make a line between flirting and getting involved with someone and enjoy chatting :)

Well, I think cheating may be answered only by the person who does the cheating itself. For me, as long as you're chatting to while away the time or to connect with friends, it's not cheating. I guess your boyfriend's too protective of you, and compliment him for that! =)

Men are weirdo's,they think anything is cheating except for when their doing it. Just put your self in his shoes and imagine how you would feel if it were him hmmmmm, yeah it 's cheating, you wanna know why? Anything that can lead to cheating is cheating and if it were him on the phone with a woman you'd have a fit (think about it)?

he secretly just want you to spend your extra time with him instead of talking to strangers or those which you chat with on the computer... if I was in a relationship, as a male I must say I might feel this way too especially if you excessively gave a lot of your time to it...
there are soo many things in this life that we have to do that he wishes to only spend more free time with you and you giving your free time to others seems perhaps a bit paradoxical to him... be patient and come to a leveled agreement if he doesn't flex then dump his a s s.! LOL, BTW its not cheating either!

I personally don't think that it is typically, but if he has a problem with it and views it so, then he has a right to voice his opinion and ask you to respect that boundary with him.
Perhaps you could talk to him and explain, it is like interactive porn. Stimuli for the brain and emotion, or whatever the reason is.
I personally think cheating occurs when you have to do something that requires you to sneak or hide your actions, and every person in a relationship has the right to establish what is ok in their relationship.
Sounds like you have a choice to make.

If youre chatting to someone and leading them on as if you like them, or you flirt constantly by typing... Its not EXACTLY cheating, but its a form of it...
So in a way, he's right..
Good Luck

Well are you cheating while you're chatting? And if you are, then you are. Or he might be jealous because he don't have a computer. You can also put yourself in his shoes........Whatever you do while you are chatting; would it be exceptable if he was doing it?

That's a tough question. When I got with my ex... he talked to all these girls that I didn't know... and it sort of bothered me. But then things turned when he accused me of cheating when I had talked to guys that I had known for years and years. I think that if you are out searching for different guys to talk to... then yeah, maybe you could cosider it cheating..... (not in the same aspect of sexin' someone else, but cheating with your feelings) but if its friends that you have known, just as long or long before you met your man... nah, he's crazy.
