Well, it sound like he is use to you doing for him. Tell him that you are not his mother & he is not a 10 year old. Tell him to finish what he starts. If he does the laundry tell him to finish the job. If he does the dishes, tell him to finish the job. But do NOT do it for him. If he doesn't finish the laundry, take ONLY your items & put them away. When he wonders where his are tell him they are probably where he left them. As for the dishes, do yours, leave his.
I suppose his mother probably picked up after him until he moved out??? Did his laundry, folded it & put it away??
I don't blame you one bit for being upset. I was lucky, my husband is not a neat freak, but he was on his own long enough to learn that if he didn't do it, nobody would. He is also teaching our boys that way. The boys don't do laundry, but they know that if it is NOT in the laundry room on wash days, it will not be washed & the two older ones are whizzes at loading the dishwasher.
Good Luck!!!

yes the answer to this; and to all the girls that have a looser of a bf is that if he does not care or understand or help you out around the place then its time to let him go, you are not married and so that is the best thing to do. I for one used to be a slob, but my wife hated me for that, but I felt bad so I help her out now. In some casses men can change, but for the ones that don't get it need to be stay single until they become a real man thats all I have to say.

He needs to do some cleaning, but you need to calm down too.
I am the exact opposite of you. If i see a clean space i HAVE to trash it. If i have a clean white sheet of paper in front of me i will absolutely have to draw & scribble on it.
You just need to find a way to compromise with your boyfriend.

Cut and run honey. They don't change, but you will. Love is wonderful, but some things it don't change. He would have to have some huge redeeming qualities to balance it out, but I would still choose seperate living quarters, and sweetie this IS the voice of experience!

Sorry you can't change him, he is 33. I'm sure you already knew that from the beginning and you put up with it and now you two are living together.

Ditch the BUM!!!!!You sound like a well organized lady,( and I emphasize LADY) So why do you stay with this Bum? You answered your own question. My girlfriend is like your boyfriend( maybe we could hook them up) and you and me could live happily ever after p.s. eldoradodave@yahoo.com
