This is a project for my Sociology class. I have to ask 20 people this question and once I gather all my results, I have to write a paper summarizing the information. If you choose to answer, you can just answer "Yes" or "No", or you can explain your answers if you like. Oh, also, if it's not too much to ask, could you please provide me with your first name, your location (just the state is fine), your age, and marital status. Thanks!

Yes, considering all the children that need love. I feel gay couples could provide a safe environment for children and should be given a chance to help children in need.

Yes, because they would be able to give it every thing it needs two sorces of income! It could have its advantages...

but there are it down falls but I dont need to go in to them, I dont want to debate my self ^_^

IF they can handle it and want children then I see no problem. What gives a guy and a girl any specail rights if you think about it they should have more rights to adopt then a guy and a girl because they can at least make a baby!!!!!

were a guy and a guy can not!!!!

well that is just my thoughts,

Sharie- Joliet Illinois Single African American no I do not think they should be allowed to adopted because every child deserves to be raised by a man and a woman basically they should be raised by two beings that are suppose to be able to reproduce together. A man and a man cannot and a woman and another woman can not. Besides God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve

Yes. Sue, Pennsylvania, 44, married.

The doctor I work for is gay with a long term partner, and has adopted two children. He, his partner, and their two children make a good family and the children are as happy as any of my other co-worker's children. LOVE and GOOD PARENTING are what is needed to raise children, and that can be provided by anyone regardless of their sexual orientation.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

You are NOT BORN GAY either. You CHOOSE to be gay. If you are, they so be it. I have nothing against them. But I don't think it's healthy for children to be raised in such an enviroment. Two men raising a lil' boy. OK I don't think so. What exactly do you think the chances of this kid being normal are..NONE...Poor kid don't stand a chance. Two women raising a lil girl..No, she will be a man hater, if it's a lil' boy he will be a man lover... No win situation...

yes, i think gay couples should be allowed to adopt children.

the idea of parents are to have a loving couple who provide nurture, protection, and encouragement for the child. just because hetro couples can biologically push out kids doesn't make them any better prepared for the rearing of them.

any couple who love and respect each other should be allowed to have kids, as long as that goes towards the best interests of the children as well.

as for the personal info, you'll have to make mine up sorry, i enjoy anonymity.

yes, just think about it..shouldn't gay couples be allowed to have a family? children in adoption houses needs people to take care of them people they could call "family" what if there's not enough "staight" couples who would like to adopt? would you rather see those poor kids stay in the adoption houses than be adopted by gay couples who would support them and give them comfortable life?

I absolutely think they should, there are a lot of kids in the system and if they can be adopted by a loving and caring family, who are we to say no just because it's a same sex couple..
