yes, i was a public speaker for my job.. you'd be surprised how many times public speakers say the word UMMM... when they lose their train-of-thought.

Absolutely. I am not shy to make a speech if need be. I used to be an actor and have done many plays.

I don't know if there is a big secret to it. It isn't in pretending that the audience is in their underwear. In the case of children's theatre, that can be just wrong. I'm shy in one-on-one situations, but not in front of crowds.

Wierd, eh?

Not even close. I turn beet red, sweat, lose my train of thought very easy and get dizzy. I am great talking in small groups or one on one, but I hate being the center of attention.

Yes, I was a teavcher where I got a lot of experience. However, I then wrote poetry and recited them at open readings. Good experiences.

Yep. My mother had forced me to start reciting poetry, etc, in competitions since I was 3. Sad, but effective.

Not really. Back in the day, I was really bad. I'd get up in front of people, and my face would turn beat red, I'd stutter uncontrollably; and once I even cried. Now, I can get up in front of people, but I still feel my stomach clench. It sucks; I hate it.
