I have read the details of the disease. I guess I am just wondering if it never will happen with the meds or 5 years or what?

Is very serious, especially if he has a genetic relation with someone with blindness or high blood pressure, for example parents, grand parents, uncle, brother…etc.
Why high blood pressure? You might ask!
Glaucoma is type or high blood pressure disease that only occurs inside the eye and it causes for crystalline liquid inside it, to become misty.

It can be controlled with an adequate treatment, “the daily eye drops” and a good diet; I assume that was what the physician said.

I personally encourage you not to worry, my 78 year old grandmother has it, and she apparently has a good sight, because she took good care along the years and had it cheeked frequently.

I hope I was helpful.

If the pressure in the eye keep getting higher the danger of going blind increases as the optic nerve is effected. Fortuntly there are good medications for the eye that can reduce the risk. It is the optic nerve that gets damaged. I have glucoma myself and take drops each day.
