Cab drivers don't go to Brooklyn because after dropping you off, they have a small chance of getting another customer. They'll lose time and gas money going into Brooklyn. Fact of the matter is it depends on supply and demand. There's a lesser supply of customers in Brooklyn than Manhattan. How about getting a cab to Staten Island, Queens, or the Bronx?

For the right amount cabs will go anywhere but generally they stay within their alotted areas. because that is what their permits allow them to do. My thought is they aren't allowed to pick up another fare in Brooklyn so it costs them double the gas.

Maybe you want to go to an area where cab drivers are always getting robbed and shot so they don't dare go there.

weeelll - take a guess - are you dangerous looking or are you asking to go to somewhere they won't go because of drugs and crime. Subway and bus are open options and cost lots less anyway.
