I want to be buried... I know it is an illogical reason but it is because I am worried that if I am not actually dead I don't want to burn to death.... the fact that I am a organ donor and wont have any organs left doesn't seen to register in my brain.

I want to be cremated, unless I have been murdered. If I am murdered I want to be buried so that if they need to exhume my body later to look for forensic evidence it will still be there. Otherwise I definitely want to be cremated: ashes to ashes; dust to dust. I don't see any reason why I should take up a portion of the earth for eternity. Originally, when they buried bodies, they went back into the earth. Now we have cement sarcophagus's and caskets that just remain there forever. Eventually we will run out of room.

I do not think it is morbid at all to make sure such wishes are made known while you are of a sound mind. I also have a living will and believe in being an organ donor. I don't want my family to have to make such decisions at a time when they will obviously be stressed enough, and then have to worry whether they made the right one or not.

I want to be made into a gem or piece of jewelry .. now that would be nice ... I saw it done on Family Plots ... I'm sure it was a lot of money so I'll just settle with being buried by my family ... with granny, grandpa and others next to me ... I also want an open casket ... unless of course I'm not viewable ... !

I've told my family all the different things they can do with me when I'm gone ... but in the end I guess I want what my kids and their kids want ... and what's affordable at the time ... not like I have any say of it once I'm gone right ... !

I would prefer to be tucked in under the bracken on "my" Welsh hillside above my childhood home and let the birds and foxes live off my remains. However, as this is illegal in the UK, I will probably be cremated, with my ashes scattered on the hill. My Family know of my wishes.
By the way, there is no death; only a movement to the next world.

Cremated, cos I don't want to be dug up in 100 years time, I want to rest in peace. When a friend was buried, we were told that 100 years after the last burial in that cemetery they can be exhumed and the remains moved elsewhere.

Cremated. I don't want to selfishly be filling up the land with my bones and a polished casket. Its just not right, especially in this day and age when we're more concerned about protecting the planet. Burial is a selfish choice in my mind.

I want to be buried in one of those woodland cemetaries.

My partner knows my wishes, I have even planned the readings and music I want. It may sound weird but a few of my family members have died young and no-one knew what they wanted so I have decided to let my wishes be known. I also carry a donor card.

When I die I will be buried in a family plot. I hate cremation. My family knows my wishes, in fact my funeral instructions are on file at my local funeral home. But then again, I am a funeral director and believe in expressing your final wishes and making funeral prearrangements.

I can't bear the thought of being buried alive, so I want to have a cremation. I've spoken to family about this, but my OH staunchly refuses to discuss it, so I'm going to detail what I want in my will. I want my ashes scattered and no headstone - I want those close to me to remember me in their hearts, not to have to go to a graveyard.
