Even though most guys say we are equal, I just get the vibe that it's not true. Is it just something that is never said anymore, but guys still think they are better?

what does it matter? the important thing is to ask yourself if you think your inferior to men. if you think your not then stop worrying what they may think or not. some people think they are better than others ...the distinction is not necessarilly between men and women but it could be between the strong and the weak , the rich and the poor , the good looking and the not so good looking but it is your own opinion of yourself that matters the most. no two people are the same or have the same qualities so technically no one is equal to no one , men , women included but part of being human is to regard and treat everyone as equal as we have been created by God from the same 2 parents. its important that YOU know this even if no one else does and remember .. if you cant respect yourself the proper way , no one else will and if you respect yourself than you can make others respect you as well and those that dont are not worth your time be it men or women.

Equals...?

At least in terms of their basic humanity ... But only in that regard if you are going to say "all Women" with out giving particulars. I think of very few men or women as my equals... most are thick, vulgar scum that i wouldn't tip a buck after they shined my shoes... but i digress.

Each of us has a degree of quality about us (more often then not a major lack...) and each must be graded on their own merits.

I have known a few men and women to be so far ahead of 99.99999% of the human race that they practically amount to a seperate species... To simply ask for a value judgement based on Gender is so limited that any reply you get willl be worthless.

Base-line physiology tells us that men are stronger and have greater endurance provided than their Female counterparts. Woman tend to be more intuitive and better ably to multi task...

So what? We each have a basic biological purpose, humaity can only exist with sexual intercourse... we are equaly required for propogation thus are biologicaly equal.

Let me put it this way.... I am male and most of the time I feel pity about the way of life female lives. I have 3 grown-up daughters and in society like ours there is no reason for them not to feel insecure. Now the question of equality in terms of human quality, male and female may be equal.

But if you take all the possible parameters that can measure male vs. female quality of life in this part of the world, women are not equal in so many of the criteria. Therefore, I think women are not as equals as men.

We are equals, and at the same time we arent. As Human beings...yeah, were equal, but as far as other things, there are just some things that women can do WAY better than men. There are also things that men can do WAY better than women. So I guess it all evens out in the end.

Women are not equal to men, but neither are men better, we are just different. Research has shown that women are more likely to be socially equiped and mentally prepared in comparison to men. Men on the other hand are more likely to be creative and stronger then women. So when you ask "Are women equal to men?" I say "No, but they are by no means worse then men, as men are to women".

Although, when you consider the pains of childbirth (an event I can be happy not to be able to undertake...EVER!), women tend to have a better pain threshold then men....nonetheless men are more likely to be stronger (which, granted, doesn't necessarily mean anything).

No, but I try to make sure they feel that way. I am just being honest. I can do anything my girlfriend can do but better. Throw a football, drive a car, cook a meal, build something from wood, IQ test or whatever. But I NEVER make her feel like she is a second class citizen in my world. She always comes before anything else. SHe is my everything.

Definately. Women and men have to be or regard eachother as equals or there will always be an imbalance. It comes down to respect, which if it isn't there, what is left?

Women and men are different and as such better and worse at different things...but to say one or the other is better as a whole would be a very silly statement to make.

It's society hun.
The Bible clearly states that Eve was made from the rib of Adam. God did that to signify that man & woman are equal (side by side).
