Seriously, different men like different things. Some feel proud of having assertive women for partners, others feel shadowed and prefer dependent ladies.

i think men absolutely hate the clingy dependent women, i see this through people i know, but this is just in America i think.
Go to Mexico or Saudi Arabia and it is the exact opposite, women get punished for being too independent and self-assertive.

I hate wet lettuce women that don't have an opinion, can't make decisions, and need general babysitting, on the other hand have been out with overbearing manhating I don't need men for anything types which is equally as bad when you're trying to be a gentleman, somewhere in the middle is nice.

Depends on the guy.
One would think they like independent women but some men like that feeling knowing of a woman that needs them desperately.

if he is a decent person then he should allow his partner to be confident and self assured and if she isnt he should help her to be. if he tries to do the opposite then he's a waste of time and space.
