Yes, I do so, no, you're not on your own.
I'm coeliac (pronounced see-lee-ack) which means my body can't cope with gluten. If you think checking labels for trans fats is annoying (which it is if you want to avoid them) try checking labels for gluten - anything with wheat, barley, oat or rye content is out (for me the effects of rye are especially horrible).
Since you read labels anyway you might, out of curiousity, see how much food (and drink) stuff gives this info. Wheatflour is in LOADS of products, soups, most things made with a sauce or gravy, pasta, all usually available breads, cakes, biscuits, cereals - the list goes on!!!! (Lager, beer and whiskey too...)
Things are certainly much better than they used to be - and if there is no information the manufactorer loses, coz I won't risk spending money just too feel ill. Plus I've become a pretty good cook because when you make things yourself you know exactly what you're eating. There are also LOADS of alternatives - same with hydrogenated fats/oils.
Either make your own stuff using plenty of fresh, natural ingredients or keep looking at those labels. The more you do it, the easier it becomes.
One last thing, eat plenty of carrots. You'll need to have good eyesight to keep reading all that small print!

Yes I do. In fact it has been reported today that New York City is considering banning all of the restaurants in the city from serving/selling foods with these harmful fats in them. There is no reason other than extending shelf life to years rather than months and profits for food companies to add these fats.

I used to! But, I got bored.
To be honest, I just try and eat foods that are low in all fat, and I avoid processed foods. Hydrogenated fats are mostly used in things like biscuits etc, and I don't eat much of these.

I started looking for it a few months ago. It's in everything that's packaged on the shelf. I was crushed to learn it's in snicker bars.
