I guess that depends on why he's unemployed. If it's economy and location; has he tried getting retraining? i've been there, done that and left. Most men get depressed when they've lost their job;their identity so to speak. If it''s not just laziness; talk to him about what his options might be and contact some agencies regarding retraining, unemployment office; Vocational rehab, job training offices. Is there children? what about you working and he take over the roles at home? If he really doesn't want to contribute;lose him, it's a no win situation.

It means that you want security.. The man is suppose to be the head of the household when it comes to finances or if not the head at least do his share.. not anything. My husband was unemployed for awhile and didn't seem like he was interested in finding employment, so I stopped buying groceries, and would eat out before I came home. The only thing in the house was water.. You have to pay the bills so not buying groceries will save if its just you it will be cheaper to eat out.. If you have kids go to places where they charge for the meal by ages...still cheaper..He will get hungry and get a JOB. And to answer what does it mean.. It means that you are tired of your hubby being a SCRUB.

Been there done that. My husband didn't work for the first 2 years of our marriage. He could, he just chose not to. You know what I did? I got 3 jobs, and I was really pissed off at him,and we even separated for a short time. Tell him that he needs to be responsible and look for a job, cuz if he cares, you can't take care of the financial responsibilities yourself.
Well, my husband got a job when I became pregnant. He then realized that a job was important, and that I couldn't work 3 jobs anymore. Now, I am a stay at home mom, and he started his own business that really took off, and he's a much happier and nicer person now cuz he feels a sense of accomplishment.
Just tell him.

You might be frustrated because he is not doing anything to go look for a job. And he might just be laying around the house doing nothing, not helping you around the house.

It means that you want to run away from your problem. all to many people ask a question and leave out things that are needed in-order to give you or them an complete and honest answer.
I don't know if he is lazy, angry, or an underachiver or un- educated or he is just depressed or anything so this is the best answer I can give you.

It means it takes two to make a life and he is not sick or not trying or is lazy. If he is hoping to bum off of you. Of course you want to bail. Don't enable him. You treat people how to treat you. Get a job, get responsible, or get a hotel
