Chrysler Corp specifies 5w-30 year round for the engine.
The transmission fluid is ATF-4, which is unique to Chrysler Corp. vehicles. Don't forget to change the differential fluid in the transmission, as well. Yes, your transmission has two different areas with two different types of fluid.

That car will perform well on the manufacturer's recommended 5W-30 SAE.
Check the oil container for the "API DONUT", which will declare the classification of the oil. You will want the latest classification, which I believe is "SL", though if you are sold "SJ" or earlier, they will perform well.

you'll definitly want the 10w30. also, be sure to change the oil regularly on that car. that engine has been known to have oil problems one the milage gets higher.
