I'm afraid that is a question only you can answer. They say love is timeless, so age should not matter. Just double check his baggage first and make sure he's not carrying any extra.

Given that I know couples with 10-year and more age differences, 'too old' is entirely up to you. If you're 22, though, for me, a nice age difference is somewhere between 2 to 6 years or so. That's me, though. Some people like it older, and some like it younger.

For a 22 year old female, a 30 year old man is old, not because of the eight year difference, but because she is too young, not mature yet. If she was 30 and he was 38, it could be ok, because both of them are already in their thirties. Anyway, I've always dated men who were younger than me, men who are my age usually look as if they were my father, because I look at least ten years younger than my real age.

I don't think we should allow society to dictate age restrictions in relationships. There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it.

Depends how mature the 22 is, but it is best to date near that age, so they can have more in common, music, movies, and just the same memories, when a song comes on the radio...

It depends on the couple. Once both hit 21, there are no strict rules. My father in law was 20+ years older than my mother in law ( she was his second wife. We think the first one died of exhaustion) He was married to my mother in law for 50 years.
The greater the age difference, the more the couple may need to deal with judgemental nature of people around them. Be prepared to deal with that. Practice telling people to mind their own businesss in the nicest way possible.

To me age is just a number. However, you don't really want to get involved with someone over about 32. They are ready to settle down and start a family and you are young and should be hanging out with people your own age.

Age doesn't really matter. Whatever you are comfortable with.
Although personally I try to keep between 1 year younger and 5 years older.

it is a common stereotype to see a 22 yr old female w/ a man 20 years her prime to be scandalous but as long as you are happy that is all that matters cuz u are living your life not for someone else. its all about personality, connection, commonality, comfort level, and feeling like you met your soul mate. that is ideal for someoone you should strive for if u consistently ask yourself of that significant other
