I just want to trim a few pounds.
I love food too much to go on a diet.
I do excersise. I take gym which is about 45 mins a day, and I am now working on my cardiovascular endurance for basketball. I play basketball and volleyball frequently. We also run 3/4 cross country mile once a week.
My lunch usually consists of a soda, turkey sandwich and some sort of snack. I usually dont eat breakfast. Dinner is a variety.
I try to drink a limit of two 8 ounce sodas a day.
What can I do to easily trim a few pounds without going on a "diet"?

First dump the soda! I don't care if it is regular or diet---dump it now.

With all the exercise that you are doing you definately need breakfast. Even if you don't like breakfast type foods, you can have some meat, a fruit smoothie or yogurt. Without breakfast your metabolism will slow down to a crawl and you will defeat the fat burning properties of your exercises.

Try upping the amount of water you drink so that you drink at least 10 glasses a day on the days you do sports and 8 on the other days.

Add some fiber to your diet like green salads, carrots, celery, whole wheat breat and oatmeal. Fiber will keep you full longer and not add many calories.

If you can first get rid of the soda, that alone may be enough for you,

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

EAT breakfast. it is the most important meal of the day. and trust me, you'll do better on tests if you have them in the morning. just knock out the sodas a couple times a week..maybe cut it back to 2 or 3 a week. i love food to much too. Areobic exercise and lifting weights it good too. i dont get to lift weights, so i walk atleast 20-30 minutes a day. and all the little ones count too, like walking from class to class with stacks of books. The little things make a difference. and drink more water before meals, it keeps you full,. so you dont eat as much. good luck. : )

do real exersize
eat a small protein breakfast
ditch the sodas
eat a small protein snack when you get home
then exersize (walk or jog) for at least a 1/2 hour
eat a small dinner

you cant lose weight without a "diet" or some sort of calorie reduction or increase in exersize. No diet pills or treatments will do anything unless you exersize and eat less.

Sorry to break it to you

Eat a calorie conscious breakfast. That tells your metabolism that it's OK to start burning calories.

Eliminate those two sodas a day and total the calories you will save. It will probably help you lose the little bit you want to get rid of.

Drink a lot of water, especially before you eat, it helps you feel full and you won't eat as much. If you must drink soda, drink diet. Eat breakfast its more important than any other meal. Your body will actually store fat if you starve it. Eat whole grains instead of white bread etc. Just a couple of things that will help

Cut out the sodas would be the easiest way. Also start eating a small breakfast, it will help boost your metabolism and make sure your snacks aren't processed junk.

hi! I think I can help you with that...diet-no. why? not just because you love food, the real reason- diet are contra-productive, and they will take you to a life-time of struggle with extra pounds. the only solution is healthy way of eating, and that means: when you wake up in the morning, take a big glass of a fresh squeezed juice, with as much different fruit as you like and, as a breakfast, eat the only food that won`t take away your energy, only add to it- and that really magic thing is FRESH FRUIT...as much as you like, the whole morning...no restriction.you won`t be hungry, and you`ll be full of energy.try that, and if you like it, and,of course, if you have success with it, than contact me and i will share with you the rest of my way of eating, that helped me to resolve my weight problem, without yo-yo effects. good luck!

Youre first mistake is not eating breakfast. It keeps your metabolism going so you burn foods better. Otherwise keep up what you are doing, also switch to diet soda if you havent already.
