Yes it's a rip off in the hairdresser especcially as you need to get it done every 8-10wks for re-growth. I use the L'oreal couleur experte because there is an over all colour to even out the base and then you can put highlights over that. Very easy to use, a little time consumming but not much more than you'll spend in the hair dresser for a lot less money, also v. professional looking too.

I used one of these a while ago. I have dark hair and tried to put blonde highlights in it. It was a disaster. I couldnt do the back of my head properly and ended up with ginger patches all over my head because my hair was too dark to go blonde without being bleached first. I have since had highlights at the hairdresser and they make a much better job.

Yes, I use that type of highlighter all the time. It works well, but I always go at least a shade lighter becuase the base always comes out darker than what it shows. Just don't forget to do the back and some strands underneath so it looks natural.

Hi yes i always use Bblonde for dark hair, i have tried others but they dont work as good as Bblond, As your hair is already highlighted the fair to light brown hair. But i would still get it done at the hair dressers as they do it differently and the bleach and conditioners they use wont wreck your hair as much.

Yes I do. I don't do a whole base colour, I can never be bothered to keep it up. Mum did hers redish, it looked cool until it started to fade and the roots grew. It faded blonde. She is by no means blonde!

I have tried the feria highlighting kits. they are very easy to use, but somewhat hard to do when you need to redo your roots. you have to get it in the same spot as your old ones were, and i think its difficult on that part.
