Hello,

Could anyone advise me to whom I should turn to with a pain in my back?
It is not exactly a slipped disc but sth less major (it is a needle like pain that eventually prevents me from walking). I have one leg shorter and my back has been under extra pressure because of that fact. I suffer from back pains from time to time and I know they are slovable. I just do not know the right person in London that would help me. I have already seen the osteopath in New Cross and a masseur in Greenwich and all they did was gettitg rid of the tension in my muscles but they have not solved my problem – my back is still bad and the muscles are getting tight again. I need a proper massage with a good dose of manipulation in my back involved. But I am afraid of going to the wrong person again (due to the fact that back manipulation in my specific condition is reguired it has to be a recommended back specialist, and, secondly, appointments themselves are expensive enouch for me – I do not want to waste my money on visiting random people). Please, recommend me a particular person that would do a massage in London all in its vicinity.
Thank you,
Anna

Have you ever seen an Orthopaedic? He can easily correct your leg lenght adjusting your shoes!
Your hip joint might be the origin of the shortening, according to your age and weight you might need a surgery.

Who usually do a good manipulation wont give you a proper therapeutic massage and viceversa but please mail me that I ll give you the name of someone that can do both manipulation and massage at high standards saving your time and money!

Ciao!

Back Pain?
I do not know any London practitioners and I am not a specialist in that. Yet, here are some ways I have found helpful for myself and others. May be you like to look into these, all non-toxic:

* Major remedy for pain I have found: Hypericum Perforatum, an herbal homeopathic form. Place 2-4 pills in a dropper bottle with purified water. Take a drop under your tongue every few minutes until the pain gets down. Then less and less often, yet, at least 5 times a day even when the pain is gone. For a long time, to strengthen the nerves and relax the tissues. Strength of the remedy from 6X to 30X is fine in my experience. I like to add brown sugar and a bit of apple cider vinegar to the solution, for taste. Make fresh every day, less when less is needed.

* Pain like a needle hints at Silicea (homeopathic). You may want to add this remedy to the solution of Hypericum.

* A chiropractor showed me a gentle massage of the spine to relax it:
Lie on your belly. Relax. Have someone place both hands on the end of your spine over your clothing and wiggle the area sideways (from your right to your left and back in a relatively fast rhythm). Then have that person feel the vertebrae of your spine a bit higher up and use his or her three first fingers of both hands, held close together, to wiggle your vertebrae gently, also in the same rhythm for a minute or so. Then the fingers of the hand which is closer to your head move up along your spine, a bit, and the fingers of the other hand move next to where the "upper" had been before. The fingers wiggle again. Etc. until the upper neck is reached. Then the hands sweep along the spine from the bottom up over the head, without touching anything, shaking off the energy. About three times. The result may be remarkable.

* You may want to learn to adjust your Chakras (energy fields) with a pendulum). The Chakras are connected with the spine and could be seen as large acupuncture points.

* St. John Herbal Oil can be bought in a health food store. It can be gently rubbed into the skin above your spine. Massage in thoroughly but gently. Every day until the problem is solved. This oil helps to renew the discs, which may pinch a nerve. A woman walked again after such treatment. See the Breuss book on cancer healing, by an Austrian chiroprator who has helped many to walk again!

* You can also apply Dinshah Color MedicineTM, which strengthens the life energy.

* The pH of saliva and urine must be around 7.5 for healing. Anything else leans toward acidity or is too acidic (or, seldom, too alkaline) and can cause pain. If you want to learn more about this and Dinshah Color MedicineTM you may want to check out http://www.biochakra.com, and ask for the distant learning course (Basic, B*I).

May you enjoy life, painfree.

I think you should try a chiropractor ,one after the Mc Timonee (some name like that ) is very good . Massage can do a lot of damage be careful ! Acupuncture might help too .The more people you talk to the more recommendations you are get to choose from . That is the only way . Than you have to decide who suits you as far as personality is concerned .
I always found that in alternative medicine you have to "like" the people that are trying to help you !
Good luck and don't give up !
