Some people have such low self esteem that they need someone to agree with them to make them feel better about their answers.

Some people truly lack self confidence. But smart people realize that they don't have all the answers, and seek input in order to make good decisions. Putting away your ego in order to do the right things is not a sign of weakness.

Positive reinforcement is always a good thing. I stand on my own two just fine, but I will work even harder if someone likes my work and says so!

they need others to agree with them because they are not sure of their opinion themselves
