Recently my boyfriend and of nearly one year were lying in bed. His phone rang at 0500 am, it was female, so I asked who it was. He said, "I had em' call me to wake me up" and then changed the subject. A bit disturbed, I tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't. He left for work shortly after. When he came back over later that evening, I brought it up telling him that it bothered me and demanded to know who it was. He told me it was merely a co-worker, and he needed a wake-up call. I don't understand why he didn't just set his alarm clock. We got into a huge fight and I broke up with him. Did I over react? I feel like he wasn't being honest with me....please help!

When you picked up his phone, did the girl sounded surprised? Upset? nervous? Did she answered fast or slow?
He is dumb. What kinda dumba.ss tells a girl to call him at 5am to wake him up? If I would I would also say:
Honey, before you go into "jaelous bit.ch" mode, a girl will call me around 5 am to wake me up, she is just a worker and you are more than welcome to pick up the phone.
Even if he was not cheating, he is DUMB, lazy (for not setting up the alarm clock instead) and does not understand how bit.chy and complicated yet somehow necesary women are. Good thing you dumped his dumb as.s!

When I was working on the road I used to have my secretary call me up in the hotel because I couldn't rely on hotel wake up calls. At home, I think this smells funny.

Listen to your inner voice, you didn't over react. There's no reason to fight if he has nothing to hide. Better to find out now rather than later, like when you marry the guy. Do not contact him, he needs to make the first move. Stay cool

maybe he did lie or maybe he said the truth....in my experience I've learned not to jump to conclusions, everybody deserves the benefit of the doubt till proven guilty...
