Believe me I know how it feels to left felt insecure by a man!
At least he does tell you that you look good. How ever he probably does feel that you look good. If you listen to country music "She Don't Know She's beautiful". It says a lot in the song. You need to talk to him and tell him how you feel and ask him whats the deal. Communication is a big factor in a marriage. You never know it may be a turn on for him dressing like that? I am not sticking up for him but I am sure he sees you in other ways that looks good to him!
Good Luck!

Some guys out there just want to control their wives in any way that they can.
Since communication usually dictates the amount of trust there is in the relationship, his words will also have you thinking twice about yourself if you take everything he says seriously.
You know how good you look and all, nobody has to tell you that you don't. Anyone who does is just wanting you for all himself. Nothing wrong with that either, if you think about it.
Try to take his comments with a sense of humor too. He knows that you are what makes him the happiest, so that is just a way to reinforce that with words. Although, his words can be scary at times for you.

First of all, he had better be telling how great you look no matter what you have just finished doing! That is his job as a husband. Otherwise, he is probably insecure about himself and doesn't want to be alone in that.
Here is a quote that I like to live by: "No one can make you feel inferior with out YOUR permission."

Your husband cannot "make" you feel insecure...that's your choice. When he compliments you (no matter what you are wearing or how you look) smile and thank him...what matters is how you feel about you, and you need to stop letting things get to you that don't matter.
If you feel you look great (as you said) then why is this even an issue?
Why not talk to your husband if you feel he's being dishonest because HE is insecure.

This one is easy. He is obviously insecure, and you probably look a lot better than he does. I think he feels "outmatched" in the looks department. He wants you to look bad in public so you won't draw any attention from other men. This is insecurity in its plainest form. I would imagine he does not satisfy you in bed either. Most men who act like this suffer from M.P.E., or male penis envy. Good luck in the future. Sounds like you are gonna need it.

Maybe he thinks you are attractive at any time even when most people would think you're not. I don't think you should be hurt or insulted. Just think of what he must be feeling when you look amazing! Don't listen to your mom, they can be wrong from time to time. Just be glad you have a man who thinks you look good and isn't pushing you to lose weight or not wear so much makeup or to wear more makeup. You're lucky and you should know it.

Ok look he loves you but he maybe insecure and thinks that if you look great someone will steal you away from him so dont be negative to him, be flatered and realise you got a great husband but maybe tell him you are always there for him.

Maybe you're the one with insecurities. When he tells you you look good even when noone else may think so, say THANK YOU. I think it's sweet when my man thinks I'm sexy...even when I don't feel so sexy. It's his way of making me feel good about myself when I feel like crap. He's not insecure, but if I took offense to someone telling me I look good, something's obviously wrong with me!

Has it occurred to you that maybe he really means it and he loves you no matter what? I think the problem is your paranoia. Don't look for hidden motives when there aren't any. It will make you go crazy.

men are attracted to a thousand different things;almost always by sight. sure women that are all dressed up and made up are hot. but there's nothing sexier than when a woman is voulnerable (aka not at her presentable self).
