Get out there and explore the area ... take hikes, visit local shops. While being out and about you might just meet people and make new friends. You can also spend this time to get to know yourself better - develop hobbies - maybe you have a talent for sketching or painting that you never knew about. Start to journal - write out your thoughts or write short stories. If you are interested in photography, get out there with your camera. Maybe develop some pen pals on the internet who are like minded. Read some books or magazines. Think, ponder, reflect. Also, if you don't already know the language, this is the perfect opportunity to become fluent in German. Things are only "boring" if you let them be boring. Also, I just recently went to Germany for 9 days and had a fabulous time exploring different towns - is there a way you can get out of town by either renting a car or taking a train and exploring other parts of Germany or even other countries? There is a lot to see there!

There are so many ways to TRAVEL to the BIG cities there. I lived in Berlin for 16yrs and LOVED it. You have the option some of us don't have here in the states. If you can just jump on a train and go to the next place and have a blast. Don't take pity on yourself, make it an adventure and go have fun. Germany is a great place.

Please don't take it to your heart, but I guess it is you who decided to go to Germany leaving your family and friends? Well, you can travell all around the country. At least there should be something attractive in the land of Hitler.
