I dont know! However, if it does nothing when you turn the key... it should not be hard for a mechanic to figure out. It is Possible that you just need a new key! GM vehicles use a key with a little computer chip in it... The car recognizes the chip and allows the car to start! If the chip goes bad, the key will not start the car. Do you have a spare key? If so, try your spare... you might just need a new key! If that does not start it, check your owners manual about the Alarm system. You might need to disable something there that is keeping the car from starting. Good Luck!

One other thought---have you jump started anything lately?
the car has a couple of computers, and they must communicate with each other. If there has been a significant electrical load between the computers, it can blow a BUS fuse, and will exhibit security failure.
Check ALL the fuses, on both sides of the dashboard. If any of them is blown, replace it, and try again.
If they are all good, then revert to the key issue, and possibly a VATS (vehicle anti-theft system) failure, which you will need to address with your Pontiac dealer.

Good Luck

the ignition switch is a very common problem with this car.
if it is the ignition switch, it would cost about 200-300 dollars.

does the car try try to start and then shut off quickly?
if so, start the car and let it die. leave the key in the on position until the the security light shuts off. this will reset the security system. after the light shuts off, try to start it.

You need to get it back to a dealer and have them check the keys and the vehicle anti-theft system for the key programming. Bring all the keys you have for it with you. That can help a lot with diagnosis and repairs of key/security issues.
