In the womb, a girl's vagina is formed by the fusion of two tubes, one external and one internal. The hymen is the remnant of this plane of fusion. It has no definite function in the human body.
It is wrong to say that all parts in our body has a function. The most famous 'useless' organ is the appendix.

Not all virgin women have hymens because they could of been remove when they were babies playing with their little stuff. Back in the day like in the 1600's men use to decide if the women they are going to marry is a virgin by checking if they have a hymen, i don't know why women are usually born with hymens.

Hymens are a part of every womans body, we are born with them. They are like a Seal, Just like when you purchase and Item that has the seal on it and the warning says "Do not use, if the Seal has been broken". Its a way of the body acknowledging that "that part" of the Womens body has not been used and is still brand New, Untouched, untampered with.

It does not particularly serve any other purpose; its kind of an acknowledgement between women & God, He created us to have that seal broken only by husbands after marriage and in Old days women were taken to the doctor for proof that their Hymens had not been broken (by sex or anything else that would have entered that area) to declare that the women were in fact Untouched, unused and still New (in a sense)= Virgins.

Because clearly once your hymen has been broken you are No Longer a virgin (hence the reason that only Virgins have them).

I hope that this information is helpful to you!!

Actually, the hymen serves no known medical purpose.

In fact ... the existence of a hymen does not ensure or guarantee the "virginity" of a female. Many girls are born without them.

(Please ... please ... please ... do not listen to the "God created hymens as proof of virginity." Again, the existence or non-existence of a hymen does not prove anything. Plus ... some woman never bleed during first intercourse. The belief that the existence of a hymen is proof of virginity was started by ignorant and power-hungry males. DO NOT FALL FOR IT.!!!)

(A hymen is very similar to the Male's fore-skin ... and should not be construed any other way.)

Again ... best of luck!!!

That's how a man can tell if the woman is a virgin or not if her hymen is still in tact.
