Paxil ... and most other anti-depressant meds have this side affect.
Then again ... lack of sex drive is also a symptom of depression which one usually has if they are taking Paxil.
The only know anti-d that has a low incidence of sexual side affects is Welbutrin. This may be worth trying if you can tolerate its side affects ... but they all have them.
Take heart ... sex drives can be restored even if you take anti-d's by making other life changes. Regular exercise ... eating clean ... and keeping yourself in good shape can usually jump start a sex drive even if you are on meds.
With sex comes so many other factors ... don't be quick to think your meds are the only thing affecting it ... make sure you cover all aspects!!
Best of luck!!!

YES. Paxil lowers your libido quite a bit. Rough payoff to be happy, eh? Talk to your dr. There are other anti-d's that don't have this effect as much.

Yes, it does. I took it for two years and definately noticed a difference in my sex drive.
My husband told me there's no way I'm going on those darn pills again.

yep, it's a horrible price to pay, too. Then you have to weigh being happy with, well, being happy. There's an antidepressant that actually raises your sex drive and has no ill effects whatsoever: daily exercise.....and it really works, just don't ask your doctor...he has to get paid somehow.

Yes one of the side effects is that it can lower your libido.
Speak with your doctor if this has become an issue.
There are many new drugs on the market that do not have or have a lower risk of this side effect.
good luck!!!
