There are all kinds of books on developing memory skills. They are probably the best resource. Make sure you exercise and get sufficient rest. There are studies that show that people who pursue academic achievement have fewer memory problems and curry is supposed to have an ingredient that wards off those protein deposits in the brain that cause memory loss. Indians don't have the memory problems that we Americans have.

AADD is common.
Memory bad? Short term or long term?

If you want to remember something whether it is detailed or general... here is a very cool trick:

1. Write it down even just an outline. Literally write a few words / brief notes.
2. Go tell that new something you want to remember to someone else. Relative, friend, even the dog.
3. Tomorrow, tell it again to anyone. Use your brief notes to remind yourself if you have too.

Seriously this technique moves information from short term to long term memory. The key is the 3 steps.
To write it down required focused concentration.
To tell it enlisted imagination.
To do that again the next day required determination.

Seriously you will "ACE" exams with this simple skill. No need for fear or cramming. But the skill requires at a minimum the two days, better if you do it over 3 or 4 days. After that it has become part of your long term memory and did not require hours upon hours of meditation.

Try Focus Facter they are giving away sample bottles on the tube. I know what you mean, my short term memory is so bad its scary.I'll always wonder if my drug use in my youth is contributing. My long term memory is very good except that perioid!
I do this thing where I try remember a long sentence out of a book I'm reading and try to recite it. It takes a few trys. They say exercise and meditation contribute to proper memory storage because you sleep better at night. Read then reread.

Think about the fact that you're not the only one with problems. Others have it worse than you. Grow up.
