I think everyone in the world is afraid of religious extremism. Its not Islam that's the problem. Every religion on this Earth is capable of twisting its followers into hateful killing-machines. Here in the West, we have other ideas, most notably Liberty that serve as a balance versus religion.
What the Middle East needs is not a new religion, but the kind of intellectual Enlightenment that Europe got in the 17th and 18th centuries.

I am not only worried about radical Islamics, i am worried about everything radical. It is not so much the flavor of radicalism, it is the intensity. Radicalism is always a bad thing. I cannot come up with a single area where radicalism is something good. If anyone knows something where radicalism is good or has led to something good, please contact. me. I'd love to know.
There are also radicals on the christian side. We do not have to take the stance that the Christians are all good and peaceful. There have been atrocities of giant proportions committed in the name of God. There have been lies being told about this religion that are too grand to comprehend. Christianity as Islam, as Hinduism, as etc. are an evil of the same thing.
Killing people is not a solution. And killing them all is even less a solution. How could we be the cradle of democracy and civilization if we commit genocide? For an informed leftist you sound very much like a radical necon.
P.S.: Next time try the spell checker.

I'm worried about radical Islamics, but I'm worried about you more especially when I see you you are talking(Hiroshima type bomb).you're sick honey and you need some professional help.
of sure they're haters, because it's not a state number 51,it's IRAQ and there Iraqis with totally different culture and habits.you been expected to see around boys and girls in miniskirts drinking Martini or Mohito's?If you want to drop a Hiroshima type bomb,so you have more haters than any radical Muslim, you want to kill all Muslims ,is that what you want?
by the way is there black Muslims in the military fighting with you?
you want to kill them too? is that is your point?
Go get some help or some rest.
PEACE.
for your next questions:
why is it so hard to find a bi sexual friend to play with?
DO you mean in Iraq?
Am I an anxiety case?
U ARE.

I think u are mistaken. Being a Muslim, I know we are peaceful. You are just brain washed by the media. I understand that 9/11 was not due to religion at all. They were wanting freedom for Palestine and wanted USA to vacate Saudi Arabia. USA will destroy the whole world for its freedom. Its just a lot of hypocrisy. Islam is being smeared by the media. They do not tell the people any truth. What do u think about radicals like Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld. I believe they are very dangerous because they have the power to destroy the world 100 times over. Terrorists, whether Muslims or Christians are the same. The nuclear bombs were not dropped by the Muslims but by the nice people. Also for the reader who is talking about Prophet's wives. That is how it was in the olden days. Solomon had thousand women. The marriage to the 9 year old was not consummated until she was older. He only had one wife until he was 50. My mom got married at 15 and that was only 60 years ago. Hitler and Mussolini were Christians. Christianity and other religions have their share of bad people also. Also Ms. smarty pants ofcourse they are going to hate you for what u have done to them. This is extremely idiotic. You are as stupid as the terrorists.

you know that whole bomb thing is what I have been saying for a long time. The cynical me anyway. You know any other countries we have ever bombed did get the picture. What I think personally is what is it going to take??? Another 9-11. Because it seems like all we are doing about that is talking about it and making movies about it.

Islamic radicals, Christian radicals, left-wing radicals, right-wing radicals, chemical radicals... not really that worrisome.
Friend, you might think this is basically a tautological issue but I'd contradict that: Extremists are more worrisome because they don't think; they just act!
Any radical of any religious or ideological belief may rant, rave and roar but it's all gas and gasps. They criticize the existing social order, the existing political trend, the existing legal anomalies in societies. But they seldom, if ever, act to translate their rantings into actions. What they do is to prod the extremist into doing those they want to do but which they won't stoop down to to do.
The extremist is one brainwashed maniac who will do what that radical ranting demands... without thinking of the other sides of the consequences. This does worry me.
The radical you can muffle, the extremist you must kill before he acts.
The radical you can leverage, the extremist you can't reprogram.
Cause and effect = radical and extremist = destructive words and destructive actions.
Proactive method? NEUTRALIZE THE RADICAL BY WHATSOEVER MEANS POSSIBLE! And you won't have an extremist do deal with.

Not really. We are finally acting against these attacks on our country. There has only been one attack in 5 years since 9/11, compared to about one every two years 1979-2001. We now know where the real terrorists are (Iran, Syria and Pakistan) and knowing that we have the capability to take them on. Knowing where they are and having a general idea of who we are looking for eliminates my fear. Not only that, but if we die we die.

That's great, except for the fact that you don't have to be there. In fact, you're there in violation of Constitutional and international law. The US Gov't unlawfully invaded a non-belligerent country under the pretext of pre-emption.

I think you took too long to realize that Islam is not a peaceful religion. No one who studies it and reads the koran can come to any other conclusion. It is oppressive, violent and intolerant. Big Mr Mohammad the cave dweller liked his little girls so much he married a 9 year old. I bet she had a wonderful life after being molested and raped in a cave.
