Can anyone give me some really good input on what to write under
"job objectives" for a Teacher's Assistant for the special education dept.
I am an assistant now and of course know what I do, I'm just looking for some
catchy or impressive lines...

You could include some of the usual stuff, phrases that appear in a lot of Objectives: To use my knowledge, experience, and aptitude to work:
* with students with special needs.
* with students requiring specialized attention and care
* in a school that supports needs of students and teachers
* in an environment that fosters the best in every child
* in a district that appreciates the unique abilities in every child
etc., etc.
Think about what's important to you in a job and include that.

Teachers Assistant - your job objective is to assist the teacher educate children. You may say that you yourself aspire to do the educating, indicate that you're looking at a long term move up the ladder and dont want to be an assistant forever - if that's what you're looking for, assistant can be a stepping stone or a career.
