Because what most people believe isn't true.
Some people even believe the governments story about 9/11, which isn't true either.
"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false."

Perhaps because they read these questions, listen to talk radio, or are simpletons. Some love to try to convince you that the Republicans CLAIMED that Iraq was involved... a claim that the administration NEVER made.
Please refer these folks to reading the 9/11 Commission's Report... it states that Iraq DID have some contacts with Al Quida, but that it found NO evidence of Iraq being involved in the planning or execution of the 9/11 attacks. Admittedly, VP Cheney looked in the direction of Iraq FIRST in the days following the attacks, but the FBI & Intelligence Community decided quickly it was Al Quida
One responder here stated that the attack was due to GW Bush assuming office... that it was an Al Quida response to the Bush family... 9/11 report CLEARLY states that the operation was in the planning stages in 1998.
BTW, Al Quida made 3 attacks against the United States during President Clinton's administration: The Embassy bombings in Africa, and the attack on the USS Cole.
There is also evidence that Al Quida was training Somalian rebels at the time of the downing of two H-60 Blackhawk Helicopters.

Yes, it is rather amazing that there are still people who believe Iraq had something to do with 9/11, isn't it?
After all the factual evidence against this assumption, they still cling to this outmoded (even for conservatives) view of Iraq and the flimsy justifications for it.

Because the US government eluded to this false information as being fact... to be exact, President Bush. Unfortuneately, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and we have destroyed their country based on a lie.

I tell you what kind of people who believe Iraq had something to do with 9/11...without offending anyone?
1- People who are irrational and can be easily emotionally
manipulated.
2- People who are taught at early age not to question or criticize
authorities.
3- People who think it is "UN-American" or "UN-Patriotic" to
disapprove of the president and his company.
4- Uneducated, Lower class people who don't think for
themselves.
5- People who are naturally close minded, ill-informed and who
like to stay in their own small box.
6- Followers and Copy cat people who like to parrot Bush.
7- People who have blind faith in Bush due to some chemical
imbalances in their brain.

Because our Government was on the news telling every one that it did . And when people hear it over and over , again and again , they tend to believe it .
After all who wouldn't believe the President and his administration , when they tell the American people and the world , there is no doubt , we have proof that Saddam had something to do with 9/11 . Will they stand behind that now !

I do not believe that. 9/11, IMO, happened because George Jr. came into office and picked right back up where his daddy left off.
9/11 was in direct retaliation to his doings. The blood is on his hands.

Nav: WHAT does Iraq have to do with 9/11? your "sayso" is an insufficient answer.
Stinky: It's okay, we know you're too frightened to adress the question, that's why you fall back on your 4th grade mentality.

They want to. They need to. They like the feeling of retribution for the attacks of 9-11 being taken out on other people. Plus they like to use that since no WMDs were found and if you question anything about 9-11 you disgrace the dead in their opinion.

because they are just what Bush and the f jobs want them to think.
Never were there weapons of mass destruction and no reason to invade Iraq.
here is the proof. Colin Powell resigned. He was a man of honor and was a fine soldier. Do you hear from him now? No. Because he went to the Un and showed the weapons of mass destruction papers and put his head on the line. When there were no weapons, he was insulted and walked away because he was hung out to dry.
I am a good democrat, but to the compliments of Powell, he walked away and never said a word, but you know after a few beers he would take bush and c ock cheney and beat their asses if he could for doing what they did to him
