If she had her tubes tied 17 years ago and hasn't gotten pregnant yet. Chances are almost 100% that she is not. Also if the test was negative, you have nothing to worry about. I had my tubes ties at age 23 and I am now 52, and never once got pregnant again. Quit worrying, you are in the clear.

I am not a guy but if she has had 2 normal periods and even did a pregnancy test to prove to you she wasn't pregnant you should put it out of your mind and start taking care of your present marriage but if you are determined to worry maybe you should get a test to make sure you didn't contact any disease that you can pass on to your wife.,you need to get over fearing the worst all the time, it can sometimes make the worst come true. Besides she had her tubes tied ,you can't forgive yourself for the situation you got into, get over it,& move on, be happy for a change, enjoy the restoration with your wife, most never get the chance.

You ask us not to flame you but in your question, you ask us if you're being stupid... You flamed yourself. I think you should stop worrying. I get the feeling you're not really worried about her being pregnant but afraid your wife will find out you had sex with someone while you were separated... Am I wrong? Perhaps you should stop keeping in contact with the person you think you got preggers... Or is it just a way to keep in touch with her in case your getting back with your wife doesn't work out???????????????

Fear is Fear. If the test said negative, then breathe. Negative means not pregnant. Also, I hope that you have been honest with your spouse about the whole sex thing. How can you start over if you are keeping things from one another. Open up and let the chips fall where they may. Good Luck

You are being paranoid! If her tubes are tied and she's had 2 periods, I would bet my paycheck that you are in the clear.

ask to see the papers for the operation and/or the scar. Mine is right under my belly button. If she can't produce the proof that's the time to be worried.
