Or are the talks still going on?

Negotiations between the UN and Iran are still in the process.

Btw, from reading your question, I am glad to see you are not one of those ppl that have fallen for Bush's propaganda that they are trying to develop nuclear weapons. Iran has clearly stated they want to research enriching uranium for energy purchase, as is their right because they are a member of the NPT.

As far as the negotiations, the problem area is that they will not halt their research while talks are in process. That is what is causing the conflict.

They submitted their version of an agreement a couple weeks ago but it was rejected by the UN because they were not flexible on the issue. Russia has since stepped in and supposedly is trying to make the deal sweeter for them as more of an incentive to stop their program.

So, I guess right now it is just a cat and mouse game.

Iran never said that the negotiations are for stopping their nuclear program. They will keep doing nuclear energy...The talks are about Iran enriching Uranium, that The US says that it could be used in building a nuclear bomb...Anyway it seems that Iran accepted to stop enriching Uranium, but there are still negotiations between them and EU...So let's wait for the end of those negotiations and see exactly what the results are...
But one thing is for sure:Iran will make nuclear energy...

They have said that they definitely will make nuclear energy, as is their right.
Russia has supplied them with a reactor that is due to open soon. However, they have said that they have no intention of making nuclear weapons.
The Bush story is just a lead up to another hoax like 9/11, which will occur when he wants to make war on Iran.

By having talks still exist, that is their way to say, that they are still researching nuclear technologies. Think about it, it just stalls anyone from action, since people all over the world will really hate if some country went in there to make them stop, because the people throughout the world will believe that Iran has made an honest effort to find a peace agreement. If this simple peace agreement has gone on for, what seems like years, well, then its probably false.

Oh Jesus! Do you really think the country of Iran is soooo advanced that they are actually "making" nuclear weapons? Let's get real here people! Who do you think would supply those weapons to them, that's if they even have any? What country will Bush jump to next? Switzerland? the Czech Republic?

Iran has said in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that they will not stop researching Nuclear Power.

However, by having the talks it holds off sanctions.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. for them at least.

We, the west are still talking, but they are just stalling, and they have said that they will persue nuclear weapons and energy, no one has the right to tell them that they do not have the right to self protect....so here we go again.....fun fun fun.

Iran is like the retarded stepchild that keeps running away. He keeps saying he'll stay in the backyard, but he keeps walking out the front door.
