Actually I was just watching a show on Friday called Washington Week and they were discussing this. That's a pbs show btw.

They were saying that Cheney isn't quite as powerful as he used to be and that Bush, feeling misdirected by Cheney and Rumsfeld both on Iraq, has begun to talk to other ppl for advice.

Cheney is still the most powerful vice-president in USA history but he definitely has lost some clout. The day that man is out of politics, I am going to have a huge fireworks party.

Of course. They are Cheney’s plans and orders that Bush is following. Bush may be a little mad because Cheney treats him with disrespect, but there is nothing he can do about it. Cheney is the man – Bush is … well … the bush. Ride’m cowboy.

Who do you think is behind all of this bad front Dubya is putting on?
He's merely parrotting more bad advice. Here clearly is a man who never had an original idea in his life of any consequence except to marry a good woman like Laura Bush.

Yes - although that role has probably shifted to Condi Rice.
