Coragrph,Bush beat you to the punch there. He allocated thousands of national guard to the border.138 of your democrat leaders shot down the house' proposal today to put up fences along the entire border.Luckily the republicans outweighed the ignorant SOB's and the bill went through.NEXT!

One sentence.
"More effective use of military forces to address specific problems, including use of military forces for local border and port security, INSTEAD of committing military forces to nation-building."
More details linked below.
{EDIT} First, I'm not a Democrat, and they're not "my" leaders.
Second, if you bothered read the details, you'll see that what I'm proposing is completely different than what Bush has done. But you said one sentence. So I gave you one sentence.

Take a read sometime at what General Wes Clark has to say about Iraq - he's incredible! http://securingamerica.com/
There are also 61 Democrats (all Veterans) who are running for Congress in November -- most of them are mentioned on this site - http://www.fighting-dems.com/
It's likely General Clark (who started his campaign too late in '04 and therefore skipped Iowa) will be running again.
He, like all of the other Veteran's running in the Democratic Party will make an incredible difference in our country.
Vote! :o)

Liberal here...
A good place to start would be to get out of Iraq.....and go kill the terrorists in Afganistan. They were the bastards that attacked us.
Or have all the Republicans forgot that?
Imagine WW2, when the Japs attacked, and the USA attacked Canada instead! The war Iraq is that way, makes no sense.
FINISH THE JOB IN AFGANISTAN!

Just stop believing in the governments bullshit and you'll stop being frightened of the shadows and see the real danger you face.
The people you need to be really frightened of are your own government - just wake up and see what they have done to your Constitution while you've been jumping at the shadows cast by their finger puppets.
Another thing you should note is that your government has been committing serious crimes against other sovereign countries in your names for decades - If you are a real patriot and love your country, your Constitution and your freedom you need to wake up and see what is really happening

Ignore it and hope it will go away. Republicans take the offenseive to terror and try to prevent it, (no attacks in 5 years) and Democrats just try to limit it, (Clinton- Somalia, WTC 93, Uss Cole, Embassy bombings)
