When it comes right down to it...
Bush wants to torture...
How come he can't be HONEST
with the American people and tell
the truth...he wants the ok to torture...

So according to Republican logic...
We'll torture them but if they
capture/kidnap Americans...
They can't torture us!

Republicans...when will you learn?
You can't have it both ways!

Bush can't tell people the truth because he doesn't know how to tell it. When was the last time he told the truth? Never. So isn't that expecting a bit much from a chronic liar?

"In all actuality, the public doesn't want or need to know all that the GOV does. "

But the public should know. This is a government of the people, by the people and for the people. They're supposed to answer to us.

"We pay them to do their job, let them do it."

But just like any other employee I would pay, I'm going to check up on what they are doing and make sure they're doing the job right and not slacking.

Bush, Cheney, Condi and Co. don't tell the truth because they're doing things they shouldn't be doing. They're breaking the law and don't want to have to answer to anybody. Which isn't even how the government is supposed to run.

Bush is a liar. He has never told the truth about any issue. He says "we do not torture" then from the other side of his mouth says " the interrogation can not go forward unless Congress gives him the power he wants". He wants that power to "torture".
Powell knows the truth. Anyone who knows war like McCain knows the truth. Bush and Cheney know nothing of war, they are both draft dodgers. Powel and McCain know that our service men will get what we give if they are taken captive.

Don't worry there is a major war going on in the Republican party. The party is divided on this issue. Colon Powell is basically saying Bush is a corrupt, evil sob.

If we were told the truth, we might immediately call for his resignation.
