I've never heard Republicans say they are the only patriots.

I have nothing agains rep or dem. Just its always seems that an opposing party makes rediculous claims against the other, to make themselves seem a better vote. So when alot of dems are trying to get on the reps they make up things like a missle hit the pentagon and not a plane.
Reguardless of what people (those reps) say, you are a true patriot if you support your country (and you have, since you served your country)
Values are gone in this country, its all about me me me.
Everyone wants peace, but you cannot have peace without war. Especially when people who are jealous of the way you live and kill you family and friends are being supported and given safe haven in a county. You cannot have peace when people are trying to kill you and your family.

I believe that rank-and-file Democrats are just as loyal and just as patriotic as anyone else in our country, but take a closer look at the "leadership" of the Democratic party in Washington DC... Some of the most liberal, most lunatic fringe radical Left wing politicians in the Universe have hijacked the Democratic party from the mainstream rank and file, and are trying to use it for their own political and personal agendas.
If the rank-and-file Democrats don't take control of their party and get back to the principles the Democratic party was founded on, then it may be too late to save them. John F Kennedy would be embarrassed to be a part of today's Democratic party!

There is a difference between dissent and treason. There is nothing unpatriotic about disagreeing with the President. However, it is very unpatriotic and treasonous to tell lies about our President during a time of war.
If you disagree with the war on terror, fine. Vote for the other party next election. But telling lies about the President orchestrating 9/11, or manipulating intelligence to go to war, is treason of the highest order.

Questioning the government or our leadership is a responsibility of all Americans, I agree with you on that as a veteran myself. That is not what is being illustrated though. The rants have gone beyond simple political disagreements, to where some are aiding and abetting the enemy. When we embolden the terrorist we are getting our soldiers killed. This is a new kind of enemy we are fighting today.

Republicans and NeoCons feel that they are the only ones who defend the country, and therefore the only Patriots. I'd like to have such a simple view on the world as they do, but I read the news, and look further int the issues that just Faux News.

They are the party in power.and besides they are good christians and of course right. Confront any evanglist and you will find they are very forceful; if you question their convictions they will tell you "Because I am right" As for Pres. Bush he sees himself as a man with strong convictions and steadfast, Some of us see him as an ignoramus.

Question the President. It's OK with me. People have the right to criticize people like you, as you do them.
