My little girl is fourteen months old. Ever since she was born she has hated riding in the car. She'll throw fits and generally just whine and shreak the whole time she's in the car. About a month ago she started throwing up in the car. She'll just start whining then she gets sick all over the place. It's not because she's crying to hard because she doesn't get that overwraught. I don't know what to do, after she gets sick she fine. I however am running out of stain remover, and my new car smells quite pungent. I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

I have tried food and drink but that only seems to make it worse. She doesn't cry enough to make herself sick she just whines, irritating as it is.

Holly sits in a forward facing car seat. My car is lower to the ground so she can see out of the car quite well, it's the motions of the car, especially when we are making a lot of turns.

Other then giving your baby meds, they sell @ many stores magnetic strips that you but on the back of your car that help those inside not be sick ( its the only thing that stopped my husband from being sick as a child) ALSO I just bought for myself, @ Wal Mart in the pharmacy area, wrist bands that put pressure on a certain pressure point to help against nausia (sp).

This question is too easy. The baby needs to be able to see out of the car. That way the motions of the car, match the motions of what they see. Think of it this way, what will make you more nauseous (1) I shake you up (2) I shake you up and you are in a large box. #2 of course, because you dont know what's going on. She is over 1 yr old now, so you can put her in a forward facing car seat.

I think it sounds more like she is getting herself sick then that she gets car sick. I would talk to your doctor about it though. If it is car sickness then maybe she can eat some of the morning sickness candies that are out there before she gets into the car You can get them at Motherhood Maternity. They are a lollipop at least then maybe she'll want to get in the car if she knows she'll get a piece of candy when she gets in

My son gets car sick to this day and he is 6 yrs old. I give him dramamine but it says if under 2 yrs ask your doctor. I would call the doc and ask. I am sure if that isn't ok there must be something else they can give her for the motion sickness.

Give her something fun but safe to have in the car while riding. Something to keep her mind off of it and busy. Maybe a snack to take along.

I'd talk to your doc at her age she probably could take dramamine or something like that before car trips, they make a less drowsy version of it now too! Good Luck
