Tibet WAS a separate country. China is the problem, they took over and won't let go.

Suppose, just suppose, pres. Bush decided to conquer Mexico in order solve the immigration problem. Then he decreed that English was the national language of Mexico and banned common Mexican celebrations. If the Mexicans wanted to be free of the US, you would think they were right, wouldn't you?

The same with Tibet, only more so. China's claim, were we to use the pejorative fraudulently and abusively attributed to the US, is imperialist. The same with China's support for North Korea and then-North Vietnam and even China's Assam invasion of India. If the Russians weren't so much stronger militarily, they would have pursued their Amur River incursions a few decades back.

In this case, China is definitely the bad guy.

The Dalai Lama claims to be a political prisoner and the Chinese are in Tibet illegally.

Maybe the Dalai Lama wants to turn Tibet into a resort for rich Americans like Cuba was before Castro ended that party.
