If peace is to be achieved we must be at peace .Arming for a battle that will never happen only leaves billions hungry and dieing around the world .I would trade the lives of a few people lost to terrorism in the short term to achieve peace .This means we attempt to find those responcible and do not blame a nation but rather make the world less hungry and treat the sick before we spend another dollar on making war .We lost 3000 people in the attack on 9-11 and since that day spent over a trillion dollars on war . HAd we just worked to help the world and aired how we are helping people world wide on the news i believe a trend would begin towards peace .
Millions of lives saved verses a huge military to continue to wage war makes little sense .IF we can not controlI Iraq what makes you think they could come here and take over .I am ashamed we can not see past this war and begin an era of peace through real helping around the world .Then we can ask everyone we help to turn in radicals.

9-10-11-12 guys like you make ralph. Are you telling me that radical Muslims are not wanting to bring the battle to us? It's unbelievable that you could be so naive or misinformed.
It is telling that you would trade the lives of a few people for peace. As John Stewart Mill once said, "The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing that is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better [people] than himself."
Get a copy of the documentary, "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0487116/). The politically correct media has tried to keep the film out of America, but it it still working its way into the country and truly documents radical Islam's intentions against the West. I dare you to watch that and come back to this forum and still say the things you said above.

What a wonderful world it would be if things really happened that way.
However, there will always be people who want more power, more money, more fame, etc. Some of those people are willing to do evil things to get what they want. The only way to stop them is to be ready to fight back.
If you were a criminal, which home would you break into - the house where you know the occupant has a gun or the one where you know he doesn't? Being prepared for war is not inviting it.
We did not start this war. It started long before 9-11-01. The Islamic terrorists have been targeting Americans for decades. 9-11 was just their first successful attack on American soil.

Your philosophy is kind and good, however it lacks what it takes to lead people. The public in general want to be lied to and don't want to face the full impact of the problems or be responsible to solve the problems that are there. We always believed men were to help themselves. All life is sacred however and sacrifice of lives is unforgiveable even to achieve peace. The world can't be lead by a philosophy that is willing to sacrifice. Peace is based on compromise and compromise is what the world can't do as one ever so your philosophy is too idealistic.

According to me and the Muslims the only good thing you can do is convert or die! We don't want your aid or for you to leave our area. We will come in the guise of peaceful prophets and destroy your kind if you stop fighting us! We are a patient and determined faith of world domination! The sad part is that we can't even keep the peace in this country, let alone everyone elses country. Some of us are trying, on an international level our leaders are leading us straight into hell, we need to take our country back, the only way I see this happening is at the grass roots level. The big question is, how many Americans are up for it? and are they willing to sacrafice, I know I am.
