If it were a leisure trip, then it would make sense to split the bill. However, it's business and HE invited YOU. Another point is that he can write it off at tax time. Let him pay the bill and maybe treat him to dinner or a massage at the hotel spa as a "thank you".

so you are sleeping together then and will be sharing one room?
I think you are only on the hook if the hotel charges more for a double than a single.
If he was going anyway and would have to pay the same $$ then I don't see any reason why you should have to pay anything. Keep in mind he will expect you to put out during your stay (thats the reason for the single room).
Now.. if you are also an emplolyee of his company then i take it back and say you need to pay half.. but then the sleeping with him is optional ;)

I would go, expecting to pay half, so have the money. After he pays for the hotel, just say something like "did you want me to cover half?" If he says no, when you go out, insist on picking up the bill. That way he knows you're intentions are good.

your when he invited you should mean he is the host, so the hotel bill is on him..it really will not cost him more for you to stay with him..most hotels charge for a single or double...which means a single is usu age of one bed, a double means usuage of two beds....so if you and boyfriend share a bed, it will not be a extra cost for him to pay....if you pay or split a meal, that will be ok, i feel that since he is the host he should cover the meals, depending what both of you feel is fair....enjoy the trip and take care

I think I would expect him to pay for the room, he'd be paying for it even if you werent there.....
You could treat him to a good meal as a 'contribution' or pay for drinks or something out...
That would be nice...or theres the old "be waiting for him naked in the room with the bed covered in rose petals...."

1. Since he asked you you should pay a dime.
2. If you split absolutely everything then offer.
I wouldnt expect for you to pay.
