Ok leogirl I will continue your education: When Bush first entered office he did 2 things- 1. Told americans that it was cool with him if they drove those big gas guzzling suvs because that was our american way. 2. He cut funding on alternative sources of energy when he should have funded the program like they did the manhatten project. I hope this helps.

Because they need the terrorist in order to have an enemy to use their weapons against. It is pretty much the "free market". They pay high for the oil, so the terrorists can operate, therefore we have to pay yet another time to the military-industrial complex for them to be able to fight the terrorists. The Bush junta milks us at every turn.

hmmmm... fact check..... american way is to have full freedom to drive whatever vehicle we WANT to drive... Bush never forced me into a gas guzzles, thanks..... ALSO, we're currently expanding our "natural" market, a.k.a. wind harvesting stations are going up all over...... hmm.. cut didn't seem to effect them.... and then there's the alternative to gas vehicles... (ethanol's big right now) OH, and when those nasty republicans wanted to get oil for gasoline out of the massive alaskan reserves, the liberals got all upity do about nature up there.... Now, really.... I think the problem is that we, both democrats and republicans, aren't happy unless we're blaming the other party for everything that goes wrong.... go independents!

Where did you go to school? All markets are run by supply and demand. If the demand is great and the supply is is constant, the price will be high. .
As far as the President is concerned, he didn't invent OPEC, the people who control the production and price of oil.
